It happens because people decide that things can and must be better. The Equality & Social Change section of the Equal Ground Youth Collective is where young people learn how small actions can create big shifts. How every voice has the power to influence the world around it.

Equality is more than a word. It’s a way of seeing. It means recognising unfairness, asking questions, and daring to imagine a world where everyone has the same chance to live freely and safely. Social change begins when we start to notice the systems and attitudes that hold people back, and choose to challenge them with awareness, empathy, and courage.

Through education, conversation, and creative expression, young people can become powerful drivers of progress. From standing up to prejudice, to rethinking old traditions, to using art, words, and ideas to inspire understanding. This is where the next generation learns to lead with purpose.
